Posts: 122 Member No.: 1 Joined: 25-February 08	` OUT OF CHARACTER. ` RESPECT. you must respect other members as well as your admin, of course. disregard of this rule will result in a warning. we here at ` ALWAYS abide by a ‘three strikes’ rule. You get three warnings only before you are banned. ` MORAL COURAGE. this rule is hardly ever enforced, although there shouldn’t be much of a need for it to be. by moral courage, we mean that if you see another person being harassed, someone plagiarizing or feel that someone is breaking a rule and/or offending you in some way, please – don’t be afraid to step forward and tell one of the admin. we’re all very friendly people and our main goal for you here is to have fun. we’ll deal with it in a calm manner and discipline the offender in an orderly fashion. ` RACISM. we have zero tolerance for racism here – this is one of two offences we don’t offer three strikes to correct. you will be banned for your first offence towards anyone. this means generalizations, racial slurs, offensive terminology and/or anything along the like. ` PLAGIARISM. the second offence we don’t offer three strikes to correct. we take plagiarism very seriously, and if we see or are tipped off that you are plagiarizing from anywhere, you’ll automatically be banned. feel free to email one of the admin and question reasons for banning – but it won’t do you any good. your account will be deleted and your IP address automatically banned from the site. ` RATING. ` ALWAYS is rated R. sex is allowed, ‘swearing’ is allowed, violence is allowed – be as graphic as you’d like. we do request that you be at least fifteen or sixteen years of age when you join here and that you understand that there will be mature content on this board – and also understand that just because it’s there doesn’t mean you have to partake or read it if it offends you in any way. ` APPLYING. when applying at ` ALWAYS, we ask that you follow the template and do not alter it in any way, unless you’re adding lists or something of the sort. if you’ve signed up for another character and the username is already taken, we ask that you make a minor alteration to your username (ex; “Harry Potter.” or “Harry Potter II”.). competition for characters lasts for three days after the first application is completed – after which time the second application will be rejected and the admin will decide on whether or not the first application is what they were really looking for in the first place. please, be patient! <3 ` USERNAMES. when registering, please register with a full (first, middle, last) name in all capitals. (ex; DRACO LUCIUS MALFOY; HARRY JAMES POTTER.) ` CONCERNING PLAY-BYS. keeping in mind that everyone in the roleplaying world is either gorgeous or a rebel, please – try not to use any overused models (i.e; most victoria’s secret models) and absolutely no myspace scene kings or queens, and no actresses and actors, please. your playby must be a model – and if you need help finding one, feel free to ask. we’re all a tad model crazy, here. ` IN CHARACTER. ` REALISM. keep in mind, not everyone was abused, raped, neglected and tortured throughout their childhood. drama is amazing; we love it. we really, honestly do – just don’t overdo it. your character has not been shot seven times and now only walks with a slight limp. he is not fidy cent. :] your chick did not lose her virginity when she was nine years old and not everyone is a super whore and not everyone is a crazy alcoholic drug addict. they’d all be dead by now. plus, keep in mind – almost all of the female characters are basically really pregnant, so unless they’re rebel badasses, chances are; they won’t be smoking thirty cigarettes a day, won’t be drunk all the time and most certainly won’t be snorting coke or inhaling weed like nobody’s business. unless, of course, you want a crack baby – literally – but that’ll cause a rift we just don’t want. =D ` VIOLENCE. right, so everyone’s temperamental. a pregnant woman will slap a hoe (or cry.) when perturbed or angered by something and the husbands of said pregnant women are on edge because they’re all worried their son or daughter is going to be the shit that ruins the world, so chances are, they’ll be a little edgy – but please, no killing. like. killing is bad. wounding, sure; stab all you want, cut all you want, do whatever; just no like, permanent damage, if you can. everyone needs to have their limbs and be alive and whatever. =D <3 ` CONCERNING BIRTHS. alright, this is where it gets tricky. all of the women are not at the same pregnancy rate – not all of them are one month pregnant, not all of them are two months pregnant, etcetera. there will be updates every Friday stating the progression of the pregnancy. a list will be accumulated of all the pregnancies and names of whom they belong and will be updated, as stated before, every Friday. once your child is born, THE STORK will privately message you. THE STORK will tell you the gender of your child, their looks, weight and size. you must message THE STORK back with the child’s full name for the birth announcement to be put up on the board to show off your new bouncing baby boy or girl. he will also inform you of whether or not you had twins, obviously, or worse – triplets. on the last note; one unlucky member will receive the awful news that their child has begun the fulfillment of the prophecy – and given a bit of advice. only the admin and obviously, the parents of the unlucky child, will know of this sad, terrible news. ` RACISM. this applies in character as well as out of character. it’s a very diverse board – it’s aggravating to see something unrealistic like a giant gaggle of just British people all in one place. you’ll be warned in this area, however – if your character racially insults another character, you’ll be warned. just because your character is African American, you do not have the right to say the ‘N’ word and just because your character is Chinese doesn’t mean you have the right to say the ‘C’ word and if your character is Japanese you most certainly can’t say the ‘J’ word. =) keep that in mind, please. i don’t mind potty mouths – but none of that shit, please. ` GENDER RATIOS. okay so. we’ve made an even amount of boys and girls, obviously. everyone’s either married off and pregnant or single and pregnant or a bachelor, so please; if you see an abundance of boys (all that’s needed is to give the member list a quick scan!) or an abundance of girls, join as the opposite. also; if your first character is male, your second character (after ten in character posts with your first character – not counting plot pages and claims and whatnot) must be a female and vise versa. ` CONCERNING GRAPHICS. ` SIZE. the limit of the avatars happens to be 150x150, so you’ll need to resize anything larger than that. concerning SIGNATURES, we ask that you fit no more than three icons if they’re 150x150, two if they’re 200x200, and if they’re banners; that they be no more than 500x300. mainly; we ask that you please don’t stretch the perty board. :] thank you. ` NUDITY. alright so. we don’t mind like, verbal graphic sex. that’s perfectly fine – nudity in avatars and signatures, however, is not kosher. if you have a fancy looking censored strip over all the right places, then we might consider it – just pm an admin first to get the ‘okay’ for you to put it up. we reserve the right to warn you – and we will – for indecent exposure of your poor character, or ask that you remove the artwork, most likely the latter – we aren’t that bitchy. (: just be tasteful with it, please. <3 ` OTHER THINGS. ` ACTIVITY. please, for the love of god, stay active. we worked very hard on making this site something worth while – we’d like it if you did your part as a member and kept us going. (: if you’re going away for a while, you can post in the absence board just to let us know and that’s perfectly fine. we want you to have fun – we aren’t chaining you down here. we understand that life comes first; just give us a heads up before you drop off the face of the earth, please. <3 ` OVERALL… have fun here. yes, this is the closing – no, there aren’t any secret words or catch phrases you have to remember to put into your application. a lot of these rules are common sense that we simply put down for good measure – we trust that all of you understand what’s classy and what isn’t, what’s politically incorrect and what isn’t and can tell right from wrong. enjoy your stay at ` ALWAYS.!
