While your lips are still red..., Tuomas' Audition

Tuomas sighed and cradled Jorn against him, letting him cry, his hand running soothingly through Jorn’s hair. Sighing and shaking his head, he rested his chin on the top of the other’s head. [i]”Cry it all out, Jorn… I will hold you.” He smiled sadly and closed his eyes.

He knew the other just needed time, though the fact that he would be leaving soon as well made Tuomas sad also. He would miss the planet’s light, even though it had been dimming for some time.

His own words stopped, the need for them going, as tears coursed down his own cheeks.

Jorn cried, he cried for a good twenty-minutes, then he stopped and slowly he pushed away from Tuomas and cleared his throat, his eyes closed for a few moments he then slowly turned and looked at the ocean once more.

"This was a very special place for us..." he whispered, "A second home to me..." he continued and let his head bow slightly, slipping to his knees in the surf and he let the water rush over him, soaking into his clothes and he bowed his head.

"I will miss you dear friend....more than you will know...." he whispered to the waters and leaned over, placing a kiss to that rushing water.
He then slowly lifted to his feet and turned to look at the other.

"...shall we?" his voice was semi-broken.
yet he forced that smile to his face.

Tuomas frowned as the other smiled. ”Jorn, don’t… don’t smile when all you want to do is cry. The worst thing you can do is lie to yourself at a time like this.” He gently kissed Jorn’s forehead and sighed, wincing as a migraine came on. ”We should go…” He nodded and glanced up to the planet’s sun, tears forming in his eyes.

”I will miss the light… terribly, Jorn.” Looking to the other, he smiled sadly, and walked to him, offering his hand to Jorn. ”I will be with you every step of the way, Jorn Lande… of that you have my word.” He bowed, his hair falling in front of his face. Twitching, he brushed it free and looked up to his friend, his eyes filled with worry for the other.

I wish... I could stop all the pain, Jorn... I love you...

"I love you too, Tuomas," he stated as he slipped his hand into the other's and he gripped it tightly.
He shook slightly and started to lead the other away from the sobbing ocean waves.

He started up the sandy dunes and soon the eb and flow could be heard as just a whisper and Jorn didnt look back, he didnt dare to, if he did...
oh if he did he would have forsaken everything he was asked to die.
He would have forsaken it all and just curled up under the waves and died with his beloved waters.

but no.
He didnt look back.
He didnt look back and doom his race completely.
He kept walking and soon they had left his ocean behind.....
soon they were back in the direction of the City of forever.

and it was then,
Then that it struck Jorn at just how /ironic/ that name was.

Tuomas held onto Jorn’s hand tightly, tears gracing his face in gentle trickles, as he walked with the other, knowing just how upset the other was. ”I wish we didn’t have to go, Jorn…” He looked to the man he loved and sniffled, before nodding to himself and walking on, determined.

If Jorn could be strong, Tuomas could be as well. He sighed sweetly and ran his fingers along the palm of the other’s hand, slowly soothing himself, his eyes half lidded. ”I love you, Jorn…” He looked at the city and frowned, shaking his head. Clearly, Tuomas had a reason not to miss the city at all. Clinging onto Jorn, he just let the other lead him, wanting to stay close to him.

Jorn smiled lightly as the other hung on him, it was just like Tuomas to cling when he was scared and nervous about something.
Jorn couldnt help but let a weak chuckle escape him and he turned and looked at the other for a few moments.

"Who did you ask to join us?" he whispered, "Please tell me you used your better judgement...." his voice was gentle and calm.
